Bureaucracy strikes again!

Since when did extreme tracking (counter) get so bitchy about their ugly counterbuttons being downsized to 1×1 pixels? I did this with my old homepage for years and they didn’t say anything. And before you give me your lecture whilst pointing with a threatening finger at my face, yes I know that this may or may not have been nice (or in violation of their ToS, as they so kindly informed me..), but still.

Anyway, after this hassle and staring at the newly and improved main page, which now had a very ugly and very large and very prominent blue button with a weird logo I still haven’t figured out what is was supposed to me, I decided that 4 years is long enough and looked somewhere else. (Yeah, sorry, but I’m not so keen on letting my dear visitors *cheers you* get an insight on who visits my site from where on which browser whilst having that particular ip adress. No, sorry, I value the privacy of you guys :3 ) So I switched to statcounter. So far ( = those 5 minutes I’ve had it now) it’s nice, has pretty much the same features as extreme counter, but – BUT! It is invisible :D Let’s see how this works out. Apparently, once the monthly hits exceed 250000 hits/month, you have to pay for their service, but seriously. I doubt that’s gonna happen anytime soon (I’m quite happy in my small little corner in teh world wide intarweb).

Well, the technician who checked my gas thermo has left just about an hour ago. I’ll have to get ready and meet with a friend and then get the tickets for a show me and mum will watch on january 6th. Omigod so much stress. And technically I still need money, but I have no money! Woe is me.

*jumps* Anyways, me must hurry. Ganbatte yo and stuff!

All I want for Christmas..

Well, the inevitable is approaching fast, and I bet you bunnies all have your gift-wrapped presents ready and sitting in a corner, just waiting to be put under the Christmas tree where they’ll be ripped open by eager fingers.

Well.. I, don’t really. That is, just a few, and those are mainly presents for my mum, who’ll get a childrens book this year because I hit the “buy” button before actually reading what I am going to buy her. I solely blame the huge Whoopi Goldberg and her talented writing for it. Nevertheless, I found the book amusing *snerk*.

Anyway. Presents. I hate Christmas, because I never know what to get my friends. Usually I use the following routine: Spend one or two days, usually set during the last week before christmas, strolling around dozens of shops, until something just jumps at me and screams: “Buy me, your friend would love me!” And if I haven’t found something by December 23rd, I either develope this sadistic streak and go out to buy something, or just raid my house to look for something I could give away as a present (yes, recycling basically. I suck. Deal with it ;P).
But never, ever do I plan my presents months in advance and enter a store with the knowledge of what to buy for whom. Procrastinating, me?

Speaking of, originally I planned to do an exam tomorrow, but due to unforseeable circumstances (.. haven’t learned a page yet.) I canceled it. Normally, that’s no big deal, however I have absolutely no idea how to explain this to my mum, seeing as she hates it when I cancel exams at the last minute and, well.. procrastinate. *puts on donkey!hat and goes to stand in the corner*

But in the end, I’m not that bitter about Christmas. Because I always fall back into this Christmas spirit, which equals me being in a disgustingly good mood even though I’m stomping though the city on the last day before Christmas and being squashed by the tons of people and the horrible Christmas decoration which is hanging on the walls in Linz. And I think this year I’ll drag my mum to the Donaulände on New Year’s Eve, and then disappear in some shady pub where we’ll drink ourselves into oblivion. Nyu!

Good morning!

Blood has been sweated, tears have been cried, teeth have dug themselves into the desk. But we managed it. The frustration joy called databases.

But oh so sweet was the reward. Finally the outpost for some more amike rambling has been finalised. Let us all celebrate! Cheers!
